Introducing Our Practice Team
A big welcome from all the team at The Village Veterinary Centre. When you come to us, you will be greeted by one of our receptionists. You will see our main Vet, Patrick, or Tom, our part-time Vet. Michele the Practice Nurse will look after your animals when they come in for a procedure and is also always at hand for any help or advice you should require. Sarah is admin and will help you with any insurance or general administrative enquiries that you may have. See below for more details about our caring, helpful and friendly staff.

Patrick is the practice principal. He qualified with a commendation (honours) from Liverpool University in 1992. Patrick is committed to high standards of patient care and safety. Patrick shares his life with his wife Sarah, daughter Emma and their 8 pets. Mia the Cavalier Cross, Cats 'Lottie', 'Johnny' and 'Bubble' were all rescued as kittens and now rule the roost. 'Edith' and 'Beryl' are the rescue meditteranean tortoises who weed the garden and 'Strawberry' and 'Tinkerbell' are Emma's guinea pigs.

Patrick's wife Sarah works in the practice as practice manager. She also helps on reception when Clare, Sandra and Michele are having some well earned time off.
Sarah will be pleased to help you with any non-clinical enquires that you may have.

Tom is our part time vet. He lives on his family farm near Winchester with his wife and daughter and when he is not working at Village Vets, he is busy dealing with all the day to day running of the farm.

Michele is our practice nurse and has a wealth of experience. She has been a veterinary nurse for over 25 years which means your pets will be in the very best hands if they come in for treatment or a procedure.
- Clare Somerton
Clare has over 15 years experience working as a veterinary receptionist. Clare lives near Romsey with her husband and son, 2 rescue dogs, 8 rescue cats, 2 rescue chickens and a horse called Stanley!
- Sandra Shannon
Although new to working in the Veterinary world, Sandra has always had a passion for animals having been an owner of her own little menagerie over the years. More specifically, 4 dogs, 2 cats, 2 rabbits, 2 gerbils and 2 goldfish.
Now she just borrows other people’s pets, namely dogs, and either home boards them or looks after them in their own home, whilst their owners have a well earned vacation.
